I’m sure we’ve all taken pictures of all the snow by now, but I’m also sure our collective snapshots don’t amount to THIS:
Landscape photographer Roger Foley, who lives within jogging distance of us in Arlington, told me he would send me some of his snaps from our recent snowstorms. The picture above is the result of him trudging through the snow to Four Mile Run. Honestly? My camera just doesn’t do this stuff.
Roger also went out to the National Arboretum, “a gorgeous place most people in our area have never seen, even in warm weather. Would you have thought these pix were taken in NE DC?” he wrote in an e-mail.
Check it out:
I mean, can you even believe these pictures were taken in our own back yard? If you want to see some more of his landscape photos, take a look at his new book, A Clearing in the Woods, which features a handful of DC gardens in this compendium of contemporary landscape photography.
It’s definitely worth a place on your coffee table!
