Small-world collision: I have a story in the current South Florida issue of Luxe Magazine, about former Apple CEO John Sculley’s Bermuda-inspired home on Palm Beach. That’s why Luxe mailed me a copy of that issue—and the happy coincidence is that my buddy Erin Paige Pitts, a designer based on Gibson Island, MD, is featured on the cover!

That’s because she and husband Gregory Pitts, whose family runs the Baltimore-based David Edward furniture manufacturer, just purchased a second home in Delray Beach. Erin now has a satellite office in Delray (which is already busy!), and her family is settling into this fabulous abode. (It doesn’t hurt that most of it is furnished with—you guessed it—David Edward.)
Erin transformed what started out as a 1940’s cinder-block house—which was nothing special. But she turned it into a modern beach retreat modeled after the Puntacana Resort & Club, which was decorated by Oscar de la Renta.

Here’s a tour of the house:

Erin has carved a niche for herself as the go-to for coastal decorating, and it’s easy to see why. With a primary home on an island and a second home on the Florida coast, I’m looking forward to seeing more of her resort-style interiors.
