Mad Men at Home in Silver Spring

I have been eagerly awaiting tomorrow’s Real Estate section in The Post to see who won its Mad Men design contest. But no need to wait — the winner is already online right here! I’m just as thrilled, of course, that my story yesterday about Mad Men‘s production designer having grown up in Hollin Hills with Sex and the City‘s production designer is linked to this one, right here.

Melissa Talley and Christopher Naughten of Silver Spring take home the honors.

The architecture is just as appropriate as the furniture here.

The dining room seems like it's taken directly off the Mad Men set.
The built-in copper planter in the entry is lovely, especially with the stone column. And I wish I knew what those colorful "tails" are on the wall panel -- very cool.
