It’s finally open! The streets that have been closed for a decade are open again. The renderings are becoming reality. And at a huge party tonight, which included most of the names and faces you see on the social pages, we got a peek into CityCenterDC‘s new apartments, which just started leasing this past fall.
There are over 450 apartments, from studio to 3-bedroom, which rent between $2,200 and $7,500 per month. (There are 216 condos as well, but this evening was all about the apartments.)
Here are some images from the inside:
CityCenter occupies 10 acres bounded by New York Avenue, H Street, 9th and 11th streets NW. Besides its residential component, there’s over 500,000 square feet of office space, nearly 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, and a 1.5-acre public plaza and park. CityCenter’s managing director, Howard Riker, told me tonight that he’s been working on this since about 2001. A long time coming! Welcome to the new Washington.
